LIBRETTO FOR LIBERIA
Slavery is the ultimate manifestation of capitalism
Free markets are compatible with free elections
only so long as the landed gentry can herd the indentured servants,
push the proper buttons and manipulate their patriotic affections
Tar black bowel matter is a bad sign, as it signifies digested blood,
which might be caused by ingestion of blood diamonds,
which are hard and razor-sharp and cut the linings of the intestines
It is not the kind of blood to put in a garden sprinkling can
periodically to nourish the Liberty Tree
although something on that order might be quite necessary
when managed democracy turns to skillful choreography
A stage magician lets you pick from a deck of cards,
"Pick any card, any one at all for your election choice"
The people have come to demand stalks of corn.
"We will take your corn", said several voices...

A Libretto Colloquy
Though Tolson himself identified T. S. Eliot and Hart Crane as
important, if problematic, predecessors, it is Walt Whitman
whose presence is perhaps felt most in his "Libretto for the
Republic of Liberia" and, in particular, its second section "Re."
By explicitly introducing Whitman and the mythology surrounding
him as the "Good Gray Bard," Tolson pays homage to an innovative
poetic predecessor, while also holding him accountable for the
implications of his poetics of the open road.
Though Whitman does not expclicitly appear until "Re," the
Libretto's first section "Do" already has a certain Whitmanian
capaciousness in poetic stance and rhetoric. Tolson is very
explicit that his audience is not limited to Liberians and/or
African-Americans, for "Liberia. . . [is] a moment of the
conscience of mankind"

Oslo killer Anders Breivik 'linked to' Johnny 'Mad Dog' Adair
www.telegraph.co.uk/.../Oslo-killer-Anders-Breivik-linked-to-
Johnny-Mad-Dog-Adair-Ulster-terrorist.html
The potential connection has emerged following scrutiny of
Breivik's links to British blogger, Paul Ray, who calls himself
the "Lionheart".
The film shows the three men visiting historic churches around
Malta, cut together with footage showing UFF terrorists and Mr
Greger with a Kalashnikov, set to a trance music track and
illustrated with slides of Templar Knights.
Mr Greger has also been a supporter of Charles Taylor, the
former dictator tried for war crimes over his time in Liberia
Breivik, the Oslo killer, wrote of traveling to the Ivory Coast
and Liberia in 2002 telling his friend he was planning to
"research the potential to smuggle blood diamonds and selling
them in London."
'Lionheart,' for instance, asked: "Where is the support from
within the ranks of the Templar Army
